Isabelle Müller was born on May 25, 1964 in Tours (France) as the youngest child in a family of 5 children. Her mother is Vietnamese and her father is French. 

Isabelle Müller grew up in poverty in a French village. After graduating from high school, she studied languages ​​(German, English and Russian) at Francois Rabelais University (Tours, France) and at the Center d´Etudes Pratiques de Langes Vivantes (Tours, France). 

Since 1985, she has worked in Germany as an interpreter and translator. 

Together with her mother, Mrs. Dau Thi Cuc (self-named Loan), Isabelle Müller traveled to Southeast Asia in the 1990s and learned about her Vietnamese roots. 

In 2009, the publishing house Krüger (S. Fischer) published Isabelle Müller’s biography “Daughter of the Phoenix – Hope is my path”. One of the topics mentioned in it was sexual abuse, which created a wave of public opinion in Germany. The author encourages victims of sexual violence to end their silence to break the power of perpetrators. 

During the next three and a half years, Isabelle Müller has participated in more than 150 exchanges to share about her journey in many German federal states before audiences; She was also a guest on television and radio, and was invited to the Federal Presidency for her commitment. 

In July 2015, Isabelle Müller entered the 2015 Kindle Storyteller Awards with her next book, the biography “LOAN-From the Life of a Phoenix” and was a finalist (5 works entered the final round).  

In May 2016, the author established the LOAN Stiftung Charity Foundation, which specializes in implementing educational projects for ethnic minority children in the poorest mountainous areas of Northern Vietnam. All the money received from the book copyright, the author donates 100% to the LOAN Foundation (LOAN STIFTUNG) to help poor children in Vietnam have a better life.
